i.TV hits App Store

Just 3 days after its release the i.TV becomes #1 in the App Store! And rightfully so — i.TV is one of the most beautiful, well thought through and feature rich applications I’ve seen in the App Store. And on top of it — it’s free, yes, FREE!

So, what is i.TV?

According to the author… “i.TV is the ultimate movies and TV guide for the iPhone and iPod touch…” Using your current location i.TV will find what’s playing in theaters near you. You can read other users’ reviews, watch a video preview and some gallery pics. You can also rate the movies, add them to your favorites, send yourself email reminders with embedded calendar entry which you can import into your calendar application with just one click (unfortunately iPhone’s email application would not recognize the .ics attachment). Same functionality goes for TV listings.

The best thing about i.TV (besides beautiful UI and tons of features) is its customization — you can disable TV channels you don’t watch, or theaters you don’t want to go to, or genres you are not interested in, etc. You can set filters for TV listings or movies based on ratings, contents, etc. Then, if you want to, you can lock your settings with the password (a parenting feature).

I highly recommend you to try i.TV.
